About

For 16 years, I shaped the visual identity of the Television Academy and the Emmy Awards. I helped lead a nimble team, guided global campaigns, and designed branding seen by millions in over 120 countries.

In my time there, I learned that you can maintain prestige while staying human about it, respecting boundaries but pushing them when needed. It's a lesson I've carried into every role since whether I'm working with a nearly 100-year-old institution or a three-person startup. I also learned that good design needs to work, whether your audience is in everyday clothes or dressed in a tuxedo.

Since then, I've worked with startups that move at light speed like Fount and Inflection, and established brands like Chick-fil-A and Joe's Stone Crab. I've designed FDA packaging that actually looks premium, created pitch decks that closed Series A funding, and art directed photo and video shoots to build asset libraries from scratch. Moving between entertainment, tech, CPG, and hospitality might seem a bit scattered, but it's just proof that good design thinking works everywhere.

I show up, understand the problem, and ship. I work with all sorts of teams to make things happen, art direct shoots, manage vendors, and sweat the details. I've reduced production costs by $50K using AI tools that actually work, not the ones that look like AI slop, and tripled department output by being organized and keeping in touch with technology. No matter where or what I’m doing, I do my best to make things make sense for everyone involved.

I focus on creating designs that tell a clear story, look timeless, and produce results, whether I’m working 1-on-1 with a local client or for a world-renowned brand. When I’m not working I’m usually taking photos, exploring new places, cooking, or hanging with my wife and our son.

The Emmy Awards
16-year tenure shaping a global brand. Designed the 70th Emmy Awards logo (10M+ viewers). Drove 257% membership growth in tandem with the design and marketing teams. Managed a four person design team, maintained visual consistency across broadcasts, red carpets, trade and promotional ads, and conference booths and shows. Currently consulting for 2026.

Fount & FlyKitt
Led creative as sole designer for Series A scaling. Rebranded and launched Fount and FlyKitt in 30 days. Designed pitch decks, FDA-compliant packaging, art-directed shoots, website, and mobile app. Reduced production costs by $50K+ via AI integration.

Inflection
Creative leadership for employee education platform serving Fortune 300 clients and 30% of Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For. Standardized brand across six product lines, designed 400+ course graphics, created executive sales decks supporting enterprise renewals.
